Port Overview
Progreso is the main cruise gateway to the Yucatán Peninsula and serves as the maritime access point to the historic city of Mérida and the region’s famous Mayan archaeological sites. The port primarily accommodates large cruise ships from major international cruise lines operating Western Caribbean itineraries.
Because the cruise ships dock at the end of the long pier, passengers are transported by complimentary shuttle buses to the terminal building on the mainland.
